‘At the River of Stones’ garden in Niederdonven
Construction time: 2008
Place: Niederdonven, Luxembourg
Surface: 2 000 m²
A visual collage of vegetation and stone strips, the front garden is a place to remember. A footbridge leads visitors from the front garden into the building. Several organically-formed spaces divide the garden into different resting spots. The patio affords a good view back to the house. A metallic structure containing sculptural elements and a willow structure mark a smooth transition towards the natural landscape. The ‘river of stones’ lies at the lowest point of the garden and is from time to time filled with water.
